Who we are

This website is operated by Epstein Hunt Physiotherapy, a physiotherapy practice at 18 Leigh Avenue, Fairvale, Johannesburg, 2192. We respect your privacy and handle your personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Information we collect

When you use our contact form we collect the name, email address, optional phone number and message you provide. Your message may include health information you choose to share so we can help you. If you contact us by phone or WhatsApp, we receive the details you send. We do not ask for medical aid or banking details through this website.

How we use your information

We use your details only to respond to your enquiry, arrange an assessment or appointment, and provide the care you ask for. We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.

Who we share it with

Form submissions are processed and stored by our website host, Netlify, whose servers are located outside South Africa. Appointment bookings are made through Calendly, which also stores data outside South Africa. If you choose to continue the conversation on WhatsApp, your message is sent through WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta and may store data outside South Africa. This site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which involves your browser requesting files from Google. These providers process information on our behalf or as you direct, and we only work with providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to POPIA.

Health information

Any health details you share are treated as confidential special personal information. They are used only to assist with your care and are handled in line with POPIA and our professional obligations as HPCSA-registered physiotherapists.

Your rights

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. To make a request, contact our Information Officer using the details below.

How long we keep it

We keep website enquiry information only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to meet our legal and professional record-keeping duties, after which it is securely deleted.
