A steady, supported approach
Chronic pain is pain that lingers long after the original injury should have healed, or that has no single clear cause. It is real, and it responds best to a steady, supported approach rather than rest alone. We help you understand your pain and gradually rebuild what it has taken away.
Our programmes combine gentle movement in the heated pool, hands-on therapy and a graded plan you can sustain. The warm water is a forgiving place to start moving again when land-based exercise feels like too much.
Your care is led by our HPCSA-registered team, including Perla Epstein, who specialises in managing chronic pain through aquatic therapy. Meet the team.

A kinder place to start.
Warm water is one of the kindest places to start when movement on land feels like too much.
- Warmth eases stiff, sensitive joints
- Buoyancy makes movement possible when land hurts
- Gentle, graded loading rebuilds capacity
- A calm setting to rebuild trust in movement
Common reasons people come to us.
Good to know before you book.
Can physiotherapy really help long-term pain?
Yes. A graded, supported movement programme is strongly supported by research for persistent pain, and we tailor it to what you can manage.
What if exercise usually makes my pain worse?
We start at a level you can tolerate, often in warm water, and progress gently so we build you up without big flare-ups.
How long does it take, and will the pain go away?
Chronic pain is usually managed and reduced rather than fully cured. Most people start to notice change over several weeks of steady, supported work, and we set realistic goals with you from the first session.
Can I claim from my medical aid?
Yes. We bill all major medical aids directly. What your plan covers depends on your scheme and benefits, and we will gladly help you check before you start.
How much does a session cost?
We charge medical aid rates and bill all major medical aids directly. You are equally welcome if you pay cash or card, and we will gladly confirm the rate for your session type when you book.
How long is a session, and are they private?
Sessions run 30 to 45 minutes and are one-on-one. Group classes are available on request.
How warm is the pool and how do I get in?
The hydrotherapy pool is heated to 36 degrees all year round, with steps, rails and assisted entry. A separate cooler pool is also available on site, and there is disabled parking at the door with wheelchair-friendly access.
What is your cancellation policy?
Sessions are one-on-one, so a missed slot cannot easily be offered to someone else. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule, by phone or WhatsApp, and we'll gladly move your booking to a better time.
Is hydrotherapy safe for everyone?
Warm-water therapy suits most people, but a few conditions need extra care first, such as open wounds, skin infections, uncontrolled epilepsy or unstable heart conditions. We screen for these at your assessment and will recommend land-based therapy where that is the safer place to start.
Other ways we can help.
