Rebuilding movement and independence

Neurological physiotherapy helps people whose movement has been affected by a condition of the brain, spinal cord or nervous system. Whether you are recovering from a stroke or living with a long-term condition, focused rehabilitation can help you regain control, move more safely and do more for yourself.

We combine hands-on therapy, task-specific practice and the support of our heated pool, where the water makes balance and walking practice safer and less tiring. Every programme is paced to you and built around the goals that matter most in your daily life.

If you are enquiring for a parent, partner or friend, you are welcome to phone us first. We will talk you through what a first visit involves, and there is disabled parking at the door with wheelchair-friendly access throughout.

Your rehabilitation is led by our HPCSA-registered team, including Sasha Hunt (Advanced Neuromuscular Skeletal Physiotherapy), Yarrissa, who has a special interest in neuromuscular care, and Kayla, who focuses on neurological rehabilitation on land and in the water. Meet the team.

The water advantage

Balance practice, without the fear of falling.

Warm water is a safer, more forgiving place to practise balance and walking when they feel unsteady on land.

  • Buoyancy reduces the fear and the risk of falling
  • Practise standing and walking with support
  • Warmth eases stiffness and spasticity
  • Build confidence before progressing to land

Common questions

Good to know before you book.

How soon after a stroke can rehabilitation start?

Rehabilitation often begins within days or weeks, and meaningful gains are still possible months or even years after a stroke. Tell us when it happened and where things stand now, and we will suggest the right starting point.

Can physiotherapy help a long-term condition like Parkinson's or MS?

Yes. Targeted physiotherapy helps maintain movement, balance and confidence and manage symptoms over time, alongside your medical care.

Can I claim from my medical aid?

Yes. We bill all major medical aids directly. What your plan covers depends on your scheme and benefits, and we will gladly help you check before you start.

How much does a session cost?

We charge medical aid rates and bill all major medical aids directly. You are equally welcome if you pay cash or card, and we will gladly confirm the rate for your session type when you book.

How long is a session, and are they private?

Sessions run 30 to 45 minutes and are one-on-one. Group classes are available on request.

How warm is the pool and how do I get in?

The hydrotherapy pool is heated to 36 degrees all year round, with steps, rails and assisted entry. A separate cooler pool is also available on site, and there is disabled parking at the door with wheelchair-friendly access.

What is your cancellation policy?

Sessions are one-on-one, so a missed slot cannot easily be offered to someone else. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule, by phone or WhatsApp, and we'll gladly move your booking to a better time.

Is hydrotherapy safe for everyone?

Warm-water therapy suits most people, but a few conditions need extra care first, such as open wounds, skin infections, uncontrolled epilepsy or unstable heart conditions. We screen for these at your assessment and will recommend land-based therapy where that is the safer place to start.

Ready to regain movement and independence?

Book an assessment for yourself or a family member, and we will build the plan around the goals that matter most at home. After-hours appointments on request.
