Helping children move and thrive

Paediatric physiotherapy supports babies, children and teenagers whose movement, strength or coordination needs a helping hand. Using play, encouragement and evidence-based techniques, we help each child build the skills they need for everyday life, at a pace that feels achievable and fun.

Our paediatric care is holistic. We look beyond the physical to a child's confidence and emotional well-being, and we work closely with families and other professionals so everyone supporting your child is pulling in the same direction. Where it helps, sessions take place in our warm, private hydrotherapy pool, where buoyancy makes movement easier and play comes naturally.

Paediatric care is led by physiotherapists trained in MAES and NDT, including Perla Epstein and Alexa Bender. Meet the team.

Common questions

Good to know before you book.

What age children do you treat?

We work with babies, children and teenagers. Contact us with your child's age and needs and we will let you know how we can help.

What are MAES and NDT therapy?

They are specialised, hands-on approaches used in paediatric neurological rehabilitation, such as for cerebral palsy. Our physiotherapists use these techniques as part of a tailored plan for your child.

Will my child enjoy the sessions?

That is the goal. Sessions are built around play, especially in the heated pool, so therapy feels fun and encouraging rather than clinical.

Can I claim from my medical aid?

Yes. We bill all major medical aids directly. What your plan covers depends on your scheme and benefits, and we will gladly help you check before you start.

How much does a session cost?

We charge medical aid rates and bill all major medical aids directly. You are equally welcome if you pay cash or card, and we will gladly confirm the rate for your session type when you book.

How long is a session, and are they private?

Sessions run 30 to 45 minutes and are one-on-one. Group classes are available on request.

How warm is the pool and how do I get in?

The hydrotherapy pool is heated to 36 degrees all year round, with steps, rails and assisted entry. A separate cooler pool is also available on site, and there is disabled parking at the door with wheelchair-friendly access.

What is your cancellation policy?

Sessions are one-on-one, so a missed slot cannot easily be offered to someone else. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule, by phone or WhatsApp, and we'll gladly move your booking to a better time.

Is hydrotherapy safe for everyone?

Warm-water therapy suits most people, but a few conditions need extra care first, such as open wounds, skin infections, uncontrolled epilepsy or unstable heart conditions. We screen for these at your assessment and will recommend land-based therapy where that is the safer place to start.

Ready to help your child move and thrive?

Book an assessment and we will build a caring, play-based plan around your child, on land and in our heated pool. After-hours appointments on request.
