Care designed around you, not a template.
Three things shape every treatment here: your time is protected, your physiotherapist is matched to your condition, and the water is ready when land is too painful a place to start.
Your full session, one-on-one
Every appointment is 30 to 45 minutes alone with your physiotherapist, never a shared slot. That is time to listen, treat hands-on and adjust your programme as your body responds.
Six physiotherapists, matched to you
Paediatric, neurological, sports, geriatric and aquatic expertise under one roof. You are treated by the physiotherapist whose training fits your condition.
Our own heated hydrotherapy pool
Our private pool is warm all year and right on site. Buoyancy and gentle resistance share the load, so you can start moving and rebuilding strength with less pain.
Modern, private, and built for recovery.
Every room is calm, private and professional, so nothing distracts from your recovery. The whole practice is wheelchair friendly, with disabled parking at the door.
- ✓ Heated indoor pool for buoyancy-assisted rehab
- ✓ Private land treatment rooms with modern equipment
- ✓ Dedicated paediatric and sensory therapy space
- ✓ Clean change rooms and safe, secure parking
- ✓ Disabled parking at the door and wheelchair-friendly access throughout

Why a heated pool changes recovery.
Water does what land alone cannot. Buoyancy, warmth and gentle resistance let you move sooner, with less pain, all guided by a physiotherapist at your side. Our private pool is heated to 36 degrees all year round, with steps, rails and assisted entry, and a separate cooler pool for later-stage conditioning. Where water fits your plan, it works alongside your hands-on treatment on land.
Buoyancy offloads joints
Water can support most of your body weight, so painful joints move freely with far less load and far less fear.
Warmth relaxes muscles
A heated pool eases tension and stiffness and calms the nervous system, so movement feels comfortable from the first session.
Resistance rebuilds strength
Water resists in every direction, building balanced strength and control without heavy weights or jarring impact.
Care for pain, injury, surgery and beyond.
Whatever you're facing, we treat you hands-on on land and bring in the heated pool when it helps, gently and always with a plan.

The people behind your recovery.

She also specialises in managing chronic pain through aquatic therapy, and is working towards a master's in aquatic therapy and cerebral palsy treatment.
Sasha Hunt
Sasha combines a biomedical background with advanced neuromusculoskeletal training, and now supervises the Johannesburg and Pretoria ANMS courses. With a particular interest in aquatic therapy, she helps patients reach their highest level of independent function through hands-on, evidence-based care on land and in the water. Outside work she is a keen runner who recently completed the Paris Marathon.
Yarrissa
Yarrissa is a physiotherapist with a special interest in aquatic therapy and land-based rehabilitation, particularly for people with neuromuscular and paediatric conditions. After graduating with a BSc in Physiotherapy from Wits University she gained valuable experience in neuromuscular and paediatric care, treating patients of all ages, from young children to older adults, and she is currently working toward the ANMS course. Whether in the pool or on land, she helps her patients reach their goals with confidence and support.
Alexa Bender

She takes a holistic approach that cares for a child's physical needs, emotional well-being and the family around them, with playful sessions curated to each child's abilities. Using evidence-based techniques she supports children with cerebral palsy, developmental delays and motor coordination challenges, and works to make therapy something they look forward to.
Queen
Queen brings warmth and a steady, reassuring presence to every session, combining hands-on treatment on land with the buoyant support of our heated hydrotherapy pool. She believes recovery should feel encouraging rather than daunting, takes time to understand each patient's goals, and focuses on the small, consistent wins that add up to lasting change.
Kayla
Kayla is a passionate and dynamic physiotherapist, driven by helping people get back to doing the things they love, particularly in sports and neurological rehabilitation, on land and in the water. Her approach is holistic and patient-centred: effective physiotherapy is about more than treating an injury or condition, it is about understanding each patient as an individual and working together towards their goals. She enjoys building meaningful relationships with her patients and creating a supportive environment where they feel heard, understood and empowered throughout their rehabilitation. Outside of work she is enthusiastic about movement, particularly running, CrossFit and yoga, and believes in bringing a mind and body approach into healing.
Our physiotherapists cover paediatric, neurological, sports and aquatic care between them, so we can match you with the person whose skills fit your needs.
The team that keeps it all running
Behind every great session is a team you do not always see. Cynthia and Study keep our rooms spotless and the grounds neat, make sure the pool stays warm and welcoming, and are always ready with an extra pair of hands so our physiotherapists can give you their full attention.

Everything you need before you book.
Do you bill medical aids?
Yes. We bill all major medical aids directly. What your plan covers depends on your scheme and benefits, and we will gladly help you check before you start. Bring your medical aid details to your first visit.
What are your opening hours?
We're open Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00. After-hours appointments can be arranged on request, so reach out if you need an earlier or later slot.
What happens at my first appointment?
Your first session is a full assessment. We listen to your history, examine you, explain what's going on in plain language, and agree a tailored plan with you before any treatment begins.
What is aquatic physiotherapy, and how warm is the pool?
Aquatic physiotherapy uses the support of water so you can move with less pain and load on your joints. Our pool is private and heated to 36 degrees all year round, with steps, rails and assisted entry so getting in is safe and easy. A separate cooler pool is also available on site.
What should I bring?
Bring comfortable clothing, your medical aid details, and any referral letter or scans if you have them. For pool sessions, bring swimwear and a towel.
Where are you, and is there parking?
We're at 18 Leigh Avenue, Fairvale, Johannesburg. There is disabled parking at the door and the practice is wheelchair friendly, with safe parking on site.
How much does a session cost?
We charge medical aid rates and bill all major medical aids directly. You are equally welcome if you pay cash or card, and we will gladly confirm the rate for your session type when you book.
How long is a session, and are they private?
Sessions run 30 to 45 minutes and are one-on-one. Group classes are available on request.
What is your cancellation policy?
Sessions are one-on-one, so a missed slot cannot easily be offered to someone else. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule, by phone or WhatsApp, and we'll gladly move your booking to a better time.
Is hydrotherapy safe for everyone?
Warm-water therapy suits most people, but a few conditions need extra care first, such as open wounds, skin infections, uncontrolled epilepsy or unstable heart conditions. We screen for these at your assessment and will recommend land-based therapy where that is the safer place to start.
Ready to move without the pain?
Book a session and start a recovery plan built around you, on land, in the water, or both. After-hours appointments on request.
